BABYLON, NY — Bella, a "pit-o-licious" pup and resident of the Babylon Animal Shelter, is the shelter's Pet of the Week.

Bella is a female pitbull who arrived at the shelter in November of 2022. While the staff is unsure of her exact age, they estimate that she's around "three to four years young."

"It’s hard to believe this sweet girl has not been scooped up yet," Christine Franke, a shelter volunteer who works closely with Bella, told Patch. "Bella is a silly girl who loves to play with toys and any kind of fetch you can offer her."

Franke says Bella needs to be the only pup princess in a new home.

"We are confident she could share enough love and laughter to fill your home," Franke said. "If you think you have the perfect family home for Bella, we’d love to hear from you."
