Eric LeVine Wins Best Chef On Long Island: 'It Means The World To Me'

FARMINGDALE, NY — Eric LeVine was named Best Chef on Long Island in the 2023 Bethpage Best of LI Awards.

LeVine is a partner in and cooks at both 317 Main Street and Vico, both restaurants in Farmingdale.

"I'm very honored to have been selected best chef on Long Island," LeVine told Patch. "It means the world to me that our customers think that much of us, and it's really an award for my staff at Vico and at 317 Main Street. I'm blessed to do what I do here in Farmingdale and blessed to call this place my home."

317 Main Street is an American gastropub located at 317 Main St., Farmingdale. LeVine serves up bowls, tacos, sandwiches, macaroni and cheeses, entrees, and vegan options.

At Vico, LeVine brings a taste of Italy's Amalfi Coast region to 313 Main Street. Vico specializes in personal or half-meter pizzas, homemade pasta, fresh seafood, and other entrees. Florence-style sandwiches are served during lunch.

LeVine is a champion of The Food Network's "Chopped." He was also featured on "Beat Bobby Flay," "Food Paradise," and "Alex Vs America" among other shows.

LeVine's career began at 11 years old when he landed a chef’s assistant position at a catering company.

"Little did he know he would become a French-trained chef with the help of his grandfather, a master butcher, who was eager to fan the flames of his passion," his Bethpage Best of LI awards page reads. "Since then, Chef LeVine has accomplished leaps and bounds of success."
