Jar at King Bear repair shop was collecting money to send Girl Scout cookies to troops overseas.

Police are asking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole a donation jar from an auto repair shop in Lindenhurst last week.

Police say the man pictured above entered King Bear Auto Service Centers, located at 21 Sunrise Highway, and stole a donation jar that contained $108 on March 10 at about 9:30 a.m.

As Patch previously reported, the jar was set up by Kaitlyn, a local Girl Scout and the daughter of Kim and Rob Llompart, who own the repair shop. The money collected was going to be used to send Girl Scout cookies to troops serving overseas.
