Wallet, Coach Bag Stolen from Shopping Cart
Nassau County Police report on grand larcenies and criminal mischief in the region.
Nassau County Police reported the following information.
Grand Larceny
- Aug. 7: Stop & Shop, Levittown; wallet stolen from purse while victim was shopping.
- Aug. 11: North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset; NYS driver’s license, Medicare card, credit cards stolen.
- Aug. 12: Stop & Shop, N. New Hyde Park; Coach handbag stolen from shopping cart.

- Aug. 6: Town of Hempstead Street Maintenance, Uniondale; front glass door of building at Smith Street Park damaged.
- Aug. 7: Veterans Memorial Park, East Meadow; wooden fence surrounding pool damaged.
- Aug. 7: Staples Street, Farmingdale; woman returned home from work and found door frame damaged.
- Aug. 7: Park Avenue School, New Cassel; window broken in Classroom 20.
- Aug. 7: Emily Avenue, Elmont; sliding glass door damaged.
- Aug. 7: Prospect Avenue, New Cassel; front window smashed.
- Aug. 7: Peninsula Boulevard, Cedarhurst; two 12-13 year old boys threw a rock at a front door and caused a crack.
- Aug. 10: Redwing Lane Park, Levittown; playground and pitcher’s mound damaged.
- Aug. 11: Brooks Avenue, Roosevelt; vacant home broken into through rear window, copper piping stolen from radiator.
- Aug. 11: Massapequa Gastroenterology, Seaford; two window screens damaged in rear of building.
