NEWBURGH, NY — A man already convicted of four felony drug charges was sentenced for a fifth felony drug conviction in Orange County Court.

Hoovler said the prison sentence will ensure a narcotics trafficker is unable to continue to spread poison in the county.

“Recidivist drug dealers who persist in their deadly actions must face significant incarceration in order to ensure the safety of our communities,” he said.

“The battle against the surge of drugs on our streets starts and ends with proactive policing, coupled with prosecutors who are ready, willing and able to prove offenders’ guilt beyond a reasonable doubt,” Hoovler said.
