NY State Police Accuse Saugerties Court Staffer Of Ticket Fixing

SAUGERTIES, NY — A Saugerties town court clerk accused of using her credentials to dismiss tickets on behalf of acquaintances faces 16 charges, New York State police said.

The New York State Highland Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Haley Whalen of Ulster Park on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old faces four counts of tampering with public records, four counts of falsifying business records, four counts of official misconduct and four counts of criminal contempt.

She was arraigned in front of Judge Flood-Myers and sent to Ulster County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000 cash/ $20,000 bond/ $40,000 partially secured bond.
