Hudson Valley Woman Killed In Miami Double Murder/Suicide
Sidney Capolino of Pawling and Meghan Moore of Massachusetts were shot and killed by Moore's former boyfriend before he killed himself.
PAWLING, NY — A Dutchess County woman living in Miami was killed in a double murder/suicide Saturday.
Sidney Capolino, 23, of Pawling, and Meghan Moore, 25, of Centerville, Massachusetts, were shot by Moore’s former boyfriend Luis Nopales, 40, before he turned the gun on himself, the New York Post reported.
Police said they all lived together in the apartment.

Capolino and Moore were hockey teammates at New England College in New Hampshire, which issued a statement about their deaths.
“Meghan and Sidney were known to many on campus, and we are deeply saddened by this devastating news,” the statement from college President Wayne F. Lesperance Jr. said.

Capolino was a 2022 graduate of the college; Moore was a 2021 graduate.
