Ulster Man Accused Of Forcible Touching Of Teen Girl

Authorities received information in early February that started an investigation.

ULSTER, NY — A town of Ulster man was accused of forcibly touching a 17-year-old girl.

Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said, on Feb. 3, an investigation began after information was received accusing Gerardo Popxl, 35, Eddyville, of forcibly touching a teenage girl.

Sheriff’s deputies said the investigation found that Popxl had forcibly touched the girl over her clothing on one occasion.

On March 13, Popxl was arrested at his home in the town of Ulster.

He was charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor, and was arraigned in the Town of Ulster Justice Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail on $5,000 bail of $10,000 secured bond.
