Visitors To HV Nature Reserve Trapped By Downed Trees In Sunday Storm

Forest rangers had to cut away six trees from access roads.

DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — Four people were unable to move their vehicles in Tivoli Bays Wildlife Management Area after a storm Sunday knocked down multiple trees.

Forest Ranger Lieutenant Tyler Mitchell and Ranger Joseph Pries cut and removed three trees from the access road off of Kidd Road. Rangers joined Tivoli Bays Fire Department, Bard College Security, and Red Hook Police to remove three more trees from Cruger Island Road.
