Woman Accused Of Calling In Bomb Threat To Hudson Valley Hospital

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office told the Wallkill police about a third-party caller receiving a voicemail indicating a threat.

WALLKILL, NY — An Orange County woman was accused of calling in a bomb threat to a hospital.

The Town of Wallkill Police Department said on Friday that officers responded to a report of a bomb threat at Garnet Health Medical Center on Wednesday, March 20.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Wallkill police about a third-party caller receiving a voicemail indicating a threat directed at the medical center.

An investigation found that the call was placed from the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center in Goshen.

After consulting with the medical center’s security, Wallkill police, Garnet Health’s security, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Town of Chester K-9 Unit and the Village of Goshen K-9 Unit searched the exterior of the buildings and grounds.

That search failed to find any explosive devices or responsible persons.

Police said there were no reported injuries and no interruption in hospital services.

Around 8:45 a.m. March 27, Wallkill detectives arrested Donna Inga, 64, of New Hampton.

She was charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident, a felony.

Inga was released on an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Wallkill Court April 17.
