2-Time Convicted Felon With Loaded Ghost Gun Arrested In Joint Op: FBI

MOUNT VERNON, NY — A joint operation with the Westchester County Police Narcotics Unit, the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force and the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit took a ghost gun in the hands of a repeat offender off the streets, law enforcement officials said.

Gregg A. Lacey, a two-time convicted felon, was arrested at his home on W. 3rd St. in Mount Vernon on Wednesday.

Lacey was also found to be in possession of several rounds of ammunition and major components of a firearm, according to investigators. He was charged with felony second degree criminal possession of a weapon, and arraigned in Mount Vernon City Court.

According to the WCPD, Lacey was remanded in custody with no bail.

The WCPD said that the investigation received significant support from the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, the Queens District Attorney's Office, the Mount Vernon Police Department, the WCPD Forensic Investigations Unit and Special Operations Division, and the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center.
