Teen Injured By 16 Attackers In Melee On Main Street
New Rochelle police say the 19-year-old found lying on the ground suffered "multiple contusions to his face."
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A teenager was injured in an attack by a mob downtown Monday evening.
The New Rochelle Police Department says that around 8 p.m., officers responded to 361 Main St. on a report of an assault. Officers at the scene found a 19-year-old on the ground with contusions to his face. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment where doctors determined that the injuries were non-life-threatening.
Witnesses told police that the victim was involved in an altercation with another man, when 15 others joined in against the 19-year-old, causing the injuries.
