Mexican Restaurant In Port Washington Shuts Its Doors

Mi Ranchito Grill permanently closed its doors after the owners said they were unable to negotiate a new lease.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY - A popular Mexican restaurant known for its tacos has permanently closed for business. Mi Ranchito Grill, which was located at 195 Manorhaven Blvd. in Port Washington, recently shut down after the owners said they were unable to negotiate a new lease with the building's owner.

“Happy New Year from our family to yours," the restaurant owners said in a note posted to the doors of the business. "We thank you for your support and patronage over the past 20 years, but unfortunately we have had unsuccessful negotiations to renew our lease, and we have no choice but to close this location.”

While Mi Ranchito Grill is permanently closed for business, the owners said they will continue to serve the community at their other restaurant, Mojito Café, which is located at 109 Main St. in Port Washington.
