New Way To Pay Rye Property Taxes Set Up

The law also applies to residents of two school districts.

RYE, NY — The Town of Rye said it has found a way for residents of Port Chester, Rye Brook and Rye Neck to get around the federal cap on state and local tax deductions. The town will set up a charitable fund to accept tax donations in exchange for local property tax credits.

The town unanimously approved the legislation in June, which made it one of the first in the county to do so, the Journal News said.

The law applies to residents in the Port Chester and Blind Brook-Rye school districts as well.
