Suspects Used Swiped Credit Cards At Suffolk Mall Walmart: Cops

The cards were stolen earlier in the day, and were last seen at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, Suffolk police said.

CENTEREACH, NY - Two men used stolen credit cards to purchase over $500 worth of items at Walmart in Centereach last September, Suffolk police said Tuesday.

The items were purchased from Walmart at the Centereach Mall on Middle Country Road, on Sept. 23 just before 2 p.m., using credit cards stolen earlier that day. The woman who reported the credit cards stolen last used them at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, a police spokeswoman said.

Further details, including a description of the items, was not available from the police.

In an image from surveillance video, one man can be seen wearing a dark-colored Yankees cap and jacket, as well as blue jeans. The second man is wearing a light blue work shirt.

Suffolk Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
