Real Estate Mogul Sean Ludwick Held on $1 Million Bond in Fatal Porsche Crash

The 42-year-old reportedly drove away from the Sag Harbor crash on two flat tires. A local real estate agent was killed in crash.

UPDATE: Ludwick was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court on Monday and is being held in jail on $500,000 cash bail or $1 million bond.

A prominent New York City real estate developer was arrested on a DWI charge after his 2013 Porsche crashed into a telephone pole in Sag Harbor early Sunday, killing his passenger– a local real estate agent, police said.

According to police, Sean Ludwick, 42, was driving on Rolling Hill Court East at about 2 a.m. when he lost control of the car and struck the pole.

The sole passenger in the car, 53-year-old Paul Hansen, of Sag Harbor, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Hansen was a real estate agent with Douglas Elliman and worked at the company’s Sag Harbor office.

The crash occurred in front of a home Hansen shared with his wife and two children, the New York Post reported. After the crash, Ludwig is accused of leaving Hansen lying in the road and driving away on two flat tires, the Post report says.

He was arrested nearby after being stopped by police. Ludwig, of Sag Harbor, was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Ludwick is the co-founder and managing partner of Manhattan-based BlackHouse Development. Ludwick pleaded guilty to assault and battery in Martha’s Vineyard last year following an altercation with his girlfriend, according to a The Real Deal report.
