Spring Hudson Valley Restaurant Week Dates Announced

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — As snow pummels the Hudson Valley, it's nice to think about enjoying an outdoor dinner at a restaurant on a warm spring evening.

That is possible because The Valley Table announced Monday that the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is returning in May.

The annual event will be held from May 10 to May 23.

Local restaurants, spanning more than 115 miles in eight counties — Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester counties — will offer specially priced pre-fixe lunch and dinner menus at $25.95 and $35.95, respectively.

Organizers said restaurants will be offering pre-fixe menus and their regular menus for both dine-in or take-out meals.

Previous restaurant weeks saw nearly 250 participating eateries serve an estimated 250,000 patrons. The restaurants reported an average 25 percent increase in business.

Mike Martinelli, Today Media's Hudson Valley Group publisher, said that planning for the upcoming event gives him hope that the region can begin to leave the worst of the current period of upheaval and disruption behind us.

"I hope and believe that a Restaurant Week celebration will renew the excitement our communities feel when they can gather together and dine out," he said. "It will also help us reclaim a part of our lives that has been noticeably absent, the important and critical social fabric that our restaurants bring out in us and our well-being."

Registration for restaurants to participate in the Spring 2021 Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is currently open.
