WHITE PLAINS, NY — Cooperation between White Plains, Westchester County and New York City Tuesday resulted in the apprehension of a Yonkers man accused of robbery — who, police allege, used a car service for his getaway.

At 9:25 a.m., staff at the CVS on North Broadway reported that a robbery was in progress with a gun threat. Police arrived to learn the robber had displayed a sharp, edged weapon and fled with $120. No one was injured during the robbery.

A description of the suspect and a description of the vehicle, including its plate number, were obtained through a witness and video. The information was given out on a Westchester County- wide notification system.

The vehicle was spotted in the Bronx by members of the NYPD about 45 minutes later, police said. The driver and passenger were brought to White Plains Police Headquarters.

After further investigation and interviews, passenger Jessi Gamble, 33, was charged with first-degree robbery. Proceeds from the robbery were recovered.

The second person, who was determined to be an uninvolved car service driver, was released without charges, police said.
