2 Men Accused Of Doing Unlicensed Home Improvement Work In Yorktown

The arrests were the result of an ongoing investigation and enforcement of unlicensed contractors operating in the county, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two men were accused of doing home improvement work in Yorktown without having the proper licenses.

The Yorktown Police Department said Tomas Delleon Gomez, 37, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, and Alex Guante Flores, 46, of Queens, were arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of engage in home improvement business without a license, misdemeanors.

Police said, around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers working jointly with the Westchester County Police and Westchester County Consumer Protection arrested the two men as a result of an ongoing investigation and enforcement of unlicensed contractors operating in the county.

The men were doing contracting work at two different Yorktown residences and were not properly licensed to do so.

They were taken to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing.

Gomez and Flores were issued appearance tickets for the charges and released on their own recognizance.

They are due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court April 4.
