Annual Train Show Returns To Lasdon Park

SOMERS, NY — The Holidays on the Hill Annual Train Show returns to Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial in Somers for the season.

Organizers said it will feature more trains, more exhibits and more holiday fun, with Santa himself on hand for the festivities.

The train show will be open from Saturday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Dec. 31.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said Lasdon Park and Arboretum is even more beautiful during the holiday season.

“It’s become a favorite tradition for families throughout Westchester and the surrounding area,” he said.

Santa will hear children’s holiday wishes at select times in his cottage on Conservatory Plaza from Nov. 25 to Dec. 24. Kids can drop off their letters to him at the Elf Post Office or give them to the man himself during their visits.

The Conservatory will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring whimsical holiday exhibits that lead to the Conservatory. Once inside, visitors will be surrounded by trains chugging along 12 multi-level tracks that run over bridges, through tunnels, under waterfalls and past quaint holiday scenes. Guests can enjoy four Twilight Trains nights when the trains will be glowing with radiant lights.

The show’s colorful characters and enchanting scenes will include all of Santa’s reindeer, playful snowmen who wave and tip their hats to passersby, colorful flowers, beautiful botanical displays and twinkling lights.

Tickets — $10 for ages 2 through 12, $15 for seniors 62 and older and $20 for adults, are available through Dec. 31. Tickets will be sold only online with scheduled viewing times. No tickets will be sold on-site.
