Yorktown Man Had Illegal Drugs, Weapons: Police

Westchester County Probation called the Yorktown police and said they had searched the man's home and found drugs and weapons.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was arrested after being accused of having illegal drugs and weapons.

The Yorktown Police Department said Dominick A Servedio, 59, of Yorktown, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, with intent to sell, and criminal possession of a weapon, previously convicted of a crime, all felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Police said, around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Westchester County Probation contacted them and said they had performed a search of Servedio’s home and found narcotics and weapons.

A Yorktown officer was sent to the home and placed the man under arrest.

Police said Servedio was in possession of 138 grams of cocaine, 12.1 grams of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills and 11 acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate pills and intended to sell them. He also had metal knuckles.

He was taken to the Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.

Servedio was arraigned before a judge and sent to the Westchester County Department of Corrections.

He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Thursday.
