LAHASKA, PA — For the third consecutive year, Peddler’s Village will host a summer-long display of large sand sculptures — this time as a summer surprise for guests.

Free and open to the public from now through August 31, "Summer in Sand" showcases five incredible sand sculptures depicting favorite summer activities: watching baseball, camping, embarking on an overseas adventure, playing games and solving puzzles, and lounging at the seashore.

The sand sculptures have created by two world-renowned master sand sculpting teams: John Gowdy and Team Sandtastic.

In addition to the sand sculpture display, guests can enjoy sandboxes designed for play and a family-friendly scavenger hunt beginning July 12 at the colorful, quirky beach-themed character “Shelly Shovel.”

Guests participating in the scavenger hunt will be awarded a prize with an additional chance to win an overnight stay at the Golden Plough Inn. Information can be found at PeddlersVillage.com.

The sculptor teams involved in the summer-long display are Team Sandtastic with Dean Arscott, Brian Turnbough, and Steve Schomaker; and Sand Sculptures by John Gowdy and Laura Gowdy. These teams were integral participants in last year’s summer sand display at Peddler’s Village, Stories in Sand, and the previous year’s, Bucks County Beach Days. Both displays drew hundreds of thousands of visitors.

“Since 2022, our sand sculpture displays have brought many visitors looking for free summer fun,” said Bob McGowan, CEO of Peddler’s Village. “We had so many requests to repeat the sand event that this year we decided to create a surprise display. We hope our visitors will enjoy it as much as we do!”

Peddler’s Village will be open every day this summer. For details about Summer in Sand, visit PeddlersVillage.com and/or Peddler’s Village Facebook, Instagram, and X accounts.
