Carl Saldutti, Lansdale's Parks And Rec Director, Passes Away

Carl Saldutti, the Lansdale Parks and Recreation Director and borough employee for 45 years, passed away suddenly this weekend.

LANSDALE, PA — Carl W. Saldutti, Jr., 69, of Lansdale, died Saturday, October 20, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Pamela (Fickes) Saldutti, his wife of 47 years.

Born April 10, 1949 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Eleanor and Carl W. Saldutti, Sr.

Carl was employed with the Borough of Lansdale for over 45 years, having served as its Parks & Recreation Director for many years. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle as well as vacationing in Cape May, NJ.

A social person, Carl will be missed by his many friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jessica K. Saldutti of Lansdale; siblings, Carol Ferry of North Carolina, Thomas Saldutti (Justine) of Chalfont, and Michele Weaver (Shawn) of Perkiomenville; father-in-law, Paul A. Fickes of Green Lane; sister-in-law, Kimberly DiDonato (Vincent) of Collegeville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Mozi Blue.

Relatives and friends may call between 2:00 and 3:45 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Carl’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 1818 Market St., Suite 2820, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
