State Police Seek Daytime Residential Robber In Montgomery County

Residents have described the situation as "creepy." Two teenage girls may be traveling with the suspect.

New Hanover Township police and Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a man suspected of three daytime residential robberies around the area, police said.

All three incidents occurred on July 2 between 10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. near Green Lane while the homes were unoccupied.

Forced entry was made at an exterior door in each location and the suspect is believed to have headed straight to the main bedrooms to steal jewelry.

The man was allegedly at a fourth door when the resident of the house came out and asked him what he wanted.

The suspect told him he wanted directions to a bike trail.

Two females in their late teens or early 20s are believed to be with him. They have been spotted near the 2000 Toyota sedan, black or dark burgundy in color, which the suspect uses.

The suspect himself is believed to be about 40-years-old and 5’11 to 6’2 in height with brown hair and a light complexion.
