2nd Youth Center Escapee Captured In Lower Bucks

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The second escapee from a Berks County youth detention center was captured Wednesday evening in Falls Township, state police said.

Dustin Lomas, 16, of Bristol Township, was caught in a stolen vehicle by Falls Township police, the Pennsylvania State Police said.

He was taken to the Bucks County Youth Center in Doylestown Township, state police said.

Lomas and Tyler Lutz, 18, of Reading, had climbed a fence, and escaped from the Abraxas Academy in New Morgan, Berks County, at 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

Lutz was taken into custody Monday evening after being spotted by a Tullytown Borough police officer, state police said. Police said he was trying to blend in with employees at a carnival.

The Abraxas Academy, which is a little more than an hour away from Bucks County, offers programs for “delinquent” teen boys aged 14 to 18 who have exhibited “consistent delinquent patterns through multiple placements, serious charges, and problematic behaviors,” its website states.
