4 Women Pepper-Spray Guard, Steal $8K In Luxury Bags At KOP Mall: PD

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Four women forced their way into a luxury bag store in the King of Prussia mall, pepper-sprayed the security guard, and stole about $8,000 worth of merchandise before fleeing, police siad.

The incident occurred on Thursday, May 16 at about 6:40 p.m. at the Givenchy store.

When the women arrived at the door to the store the guard told them that only one person was allowed to enter at a time, according to police.

However, the four women, who police believe may be responsible for other mall recent thefts around the region, pushed past the guard and forced their way inside, police said.

One of the women immediately pepper-sprayed the guard and a store employee while the other three began tearing bags from the displays, ripping off the security cables, authorities said. The group moved fast, as police said they were only inside the store for about 30 seconds.

They fled through the Savor Food Court before getting inside a waiting vehicle and fleeing the scene.
