Making Norristown A Better Place: Conference Aims To Support Youth Development

A conference aimed at improving youth education and development across Norristown will be held by the nonprofit EDU19401.

EDU19401: A Symposium on Urban/Suburban Education will seek to bring community members, parents, executives, and students from grades 7-12 together to discuss a variety of issues.

The event site says that the agenda will include:

1) discuss issues in education; 2) problem-solve for local challenges and barriers; 3) get informed of opportunities to lead and serve; 4) and network with like-minded individuals.

The event is in partnership with several community groups that advocate racial equality and harmony, including Norristown Men of Excellence.

Panelists will also discuss the school-to-prison pipeline.
