Norristown's Carver Center Pool To Reopen, Celebrate 55th Anniversary

The pool will reopen this Saturday with a bang.

The George Washington Carver Community Center, a historic and cultural pillar of Norristown, will reopen on Saturday, June 20.

The center, along with the popular pool, was shut down during the summer of 2014 after a damaging winter and a lack of funds.

But an anonymous donor, working with State Sen. Daylin Leach, contributed over $70,000 to help restore the pool.
