Best Philly Region Neighborhoods To Live In 2022: Niche

PHILADELPHIA — The greater Philadelphia area has some of the best neighborhoods in the country to live in, according to the latest Niche rankings, including the number one spot overall on 2022's list.

Chesterbook took home the number one overall ranking in the nation, according to Niche's new list of best places to live in 2022. Penn Wynne came in third nationally, while Ardmore was sixth.

Niche creates its annual Best Places to Live rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in addition to resident reviews, according to a news release.

It also considers factors like affordability, the housing market, diversity, public schools and walkability.

Here are the Philadelphia area's top 15 best neighborhoods, according to Niche:

3. Ardmore
4. Swarthmore
5. Narberth
6. Berwyn
7. Nether Providence Township
8. East Whiteland Township
9. Upper Uwchlan Township
10. Jenkintown
11. Blue Bell
12. Exton
13. Devon
14. Springdale
15. East Marlborough Township
