Expanded Broad Street Line Service, Free Rides Home For World Series

The Phillies are at Citizens Bank Park Monday for Game 3 of the World Series and SEPTA is once again helping get fans to and from the park.

PHILADELPHIA — The World Series starts Friday night in Houston, but come Monday the Fightin' Phils are back in the City of Brotherly Love for Game 3.

And with their return, SEPTA is once again offering expanded Broad Street Line Service to help fans get to and from Citizens Bank Park or whatever lot they're tailgating in.

For Games 3 and 4, Miller Lite and Penn Medicine are sponsoring free rides home from NRG Station.

The Broad Street Line offers service to the South Philadelphia Sports Complex via NRG Station.

There is a free transfer to the Broad Street Line from the Market-Frankford Line and City Trolley routes at 15th Street/City Hall, and it is a short walk from Regional Rail stations in Center City.

The line also connects to bus routes that provide service throughout the region, and it is easily accessible from the PATCO High Speed Line for riders from South Jersey.

SEPTA operates Sports Express service on the Broad Street Line making stops at these stations: Fern Rock Transportation Center, Olney Transportation Center, Erie, Girard, Spring Garden, Race-Vine, City Hall, Walnut-Locust and NRG Station.

Below is the schedule for the Phillies World Series home games:

Monday, October 31:

  • Phillies vs. Houston Astros: 8:03 p.m.

SEPTA will supplement regular service to NRG Station with five Express and three Local trains leaving Fern Rock Transportation Center beginning at 6 p.m.

Miller Lite is sponsoring free rides home from NRG Station beginning at 10 p.m. until the last train.

Tuesday, November 1:

  • Phillies vs. Houston Astros: 8:03 p.m.

SEPTA will supplement regular service to NRG Station with five Express and three Local trains leaving Fern Rock Transportation Center beginning at 6 p.m.

Penn Medicine is sponsoring free rides home from NRG Station beginning at 10 p.m. until the last train.

Wednesday, November 2:

  • Phillies vs. Houston Astros: 8:03 p.m. (if necessary)

SEPTA will supplement regular service to NRG Station with five Express and three Local trains leaving Fern Rock Transportation Center beginning at 6 p.m.

Even if games run late, fans will find Local and Express Broad Street Line trains waiting for them at NRG Station.

If necessary, SEPTA will also hold the last Regional Rail trains of the night so that people can connect from the subway.
