Wilson Farm Park $1.02M Upgrade Update

CHESTERBROOK —A $1.02 million upgrade of 90-acre Wilson Farm Park in Tredyffrin Township is expected to begin at the end of the year, according to township officials.

Officials are working on finalizing the paperwork required by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the agency that provided the grant to upgrade the 17-year-old park in Chesterbrook.

Joseph DiRocco, assistant township manager, said he could not yet provide an estimate of when the project will be completed.

The grant will fund construction of a spray park and pickleball courts.

It will also fund renovations of the amphitheater, seating areas, pavilions, concession stand, baseball field and pond area, additional lighting and landscaping and additional access in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The park has concerts in an amphitheater, July 4th fireworks, volleyball and basketball courts, soccer and baseball fields and walking trails.

The park opened in 2004.
