Wakefield Woman Faces DUI Charge In Fatal Crash

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A South Kingstown man was hit by a driver and killed while walking on Middlebridge Road Friday evening, police said. The driver, 30-year-old Cara Kenyon of Wakefield, was charged with driving under the influence: death resulting; refusal to submit to a chemical test; and obstruction.

The crash happened in the 600 block of Middlebridge Road just after 7:30 p.m., South Kingstown police said. The victim, Alan Albergaria, 54, was taken to South County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Kenyon was arrested at the scene and arraigned at South Kingstown police headquarters. She was released on $10,000 personal recognizance and will be re-arraigned at a later date, police said.
