NASHVILLE, TN β€” A line of strong to severe storms is expected to push through Middle Tennessee Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service, bringing a chance of damaging winds and hail to the area.

The National Weather Services expects storms to start developing in Middle Tennessee around 6 p.m. and push into the Interstate 65 corridor as early as 7 p.m. While tornadic activity is not expected, strong winds are associated with the line of storms, as winds in Nashville are steadily 15 to 25 m.p.h even before the arrival of the front with gusts as high as 40 mph reported.
