Patch Pet Of The Week: Jasmine

We're so excited for you to meet our new Patch Pet of the Week: Jasmine!

Meet our new Patch Pet of the Week: Jasmine!

Jasmine is a seven years old Shetland Sheep dog (sheltie). When she was two years old she was rescued, along with several others, from a puppy mill breeder. She now lives in Islip Terrace. She is the friendliest pup and loves making new doggy friends. You can say she's the "leader of the pack", because when she spins around in circles and barks, all the other dogs join in.

First day home

Jasmine was super shy and scared, probably because she was stuck in a puppy mill. However, when she saw her new mom for the first time, she ran over to her and gave her lots of love!

Favorite treat

Jasmine doesn't discriminate when it comes to food, she loves it all! If she had to pick one favorite, it would be cucumbers though.

Weirdest thing she ever ate

She was caught munching on a salad once, definitely not something you see everyday.

Likes

Food, food and more food. It makes sense that her nickname is "Chunky Monkey" because this pup can't get enough treats.

Dislikes

Jasmine likes to know exactly where she is, so she hates going to strange places. She also doesn't like a lot of noise.

Funniest habit

This dog is quite the trickster! When her family is finished eating dinner, Jasmine rallies the other dogs into a barking frenzy and leads them to the back door. When her mom opens the door, all the dogs run out except her. She does a 180 and runs back to the table to check the plates for food. Honestly, that's a brilliant idea.

Favorite toy

She loves chewing on her bone.

"A true farm dog"

Jasmine just recently passed a test to become farm dog certified, woo! Even though Jasmine can be quite the instigator for trouble, she is the sweetest pup and brings so much joy to her family.
