Patch Pet Of The Week: Milo

Every week, we will be picking a new Patch Pet of the Week. Meet our newest pick: Milo!

Introducing our brand new Patch Pet of the Week: Milo!

Milo is a 6-year-old rescue dog from Rawhide Rescue of Freehold, New Jersey. He is technically a Border Collie/Gorgi mix, but his owner believes he's got a little Jack Russel or Beagle in him. He has a "short dog" complex and becomes a "tough guy" when bigger dogs come around, but he LOVES people, kids and female dogs. He currently resides in Orange, New Jersey.

First day home

When Milo was waiting to be checked out at the foster home, he jumped on his new mom's lap and immediately gave her kisses as if he was just waiting for his new family to come along. They connected immediately, and became buddies for life!

Favorite treat

Milo is a true carnivore. He enjoys chicken and any other kind of meat.

Weirdest thing he ever ate

Even though Milo has every chew toy imaginable for his choosing to entertain him, he'd rather eat paper towels. If even one paper towel is left out for him to see, it will be chewed to pieces in no time!

Likes

He loves a good belly rub, but who doesn't? Milo also loves to hang with the kids, running around with them for hours.

Dislikes

Any dog bigger than Milo is no friend of his. He likes to be the biggest one in the group.

Funniest habit

Milo may have a career as a high jumper. He loves to jump on his mom when she walks in the door and his highest jump goes to her waist! Since she's 5'6, that's pretty impressive.

Favorite toy

His two stuffed squeaky dog toys are easily his favorite — but we're guessing they probably aren't his family's favorite. (Those things can get pretty annoying!)

"Did I mention he loves people?"

Milo is a people's dog! He gets pleasure out of being around people all of the time. How sweet!
