Angels Gate Cultural Center

Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC) is pleased to present METHOD, a new group exhibition featuring twenty-five contemporary artists who experiment across interdisciplinary fields. METHOD opens with a public reception on Saturday, September 14th from 2pm to 4pm in the gallery at AGCC.
METHOD is about technology, ecology, and embodiment. It layers the history of analog and digital processes that shape images and imaginaries, exploring transcultural aspects of language, its role in technoscience and the coloniality embedded in cartographic forms. The exhibition is presented in partnership with SUPERCOLLIDER.

METHOD includes works by Lauren Bedal, Jenna Caravello, CHẾ, Chris Combs, Ismael de Anda III &amp; Eugene Ahn, Tielin Ding, Richelle Ellis, Ksti Hu, Kim Kei, Elizabeth Leister, Lineadeluz, Edua Mercedes, Reuben Merringer, Ashton Phillips, Koi Ren &amp; Joey Verbeke, Dylan Ricards, Miller Robinson, Kayla Tange, Ambrose Trataris &amp; Lucy Black, Ayzay Ukwuoma, Erika Weitz, and Devin Wilson. METHOD is guest juried and curated by Kira Xonorika, SUPERCOLLIDER SciArt Ambassador. 
METHOD will be on view in the gallery through December 6th, 2024 with free public visiting hours Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 10am to 4:30pm. METHOD opens during <a href="https://opaf.info" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">OPaf, Other Places art fair</a>&nbsp;at AGCC. 
 METHOD is made possible with support from the California Natural Resources Agency for the Museum Grant Program under the California Cultural and Historical Endowment, and Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Additional support for the AGCC exhibitions program is provided by the Perenchio Foundation, LA Parks, Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, The Ahmanson Foundation, Norris Foundation, the Ralph M. Parsons Foundation, and Best Start Wilmington.

Opening Reception: METHOD • Technology, ecology, embodiment

Alternative art fair dedicated to supporting unconventional and underrepresented artists, art project spaces, and art programming on September 14th, from 11am to 9pm at Angels Gate Cultural Center. 

Join us for OPaf 6, a platform for diverse artists of all backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, creating an inclusive, outdoor space for artistic projects united by the intention to exist in alternative settings.
Fluid in definition, bonded by an intention to operate in other places outside the traditional art gallery systems, OPaf (Other Places art fair) features participants presenting site-specific booths encapsulating their projects and programming. 
The event features over 30 booths with 100+ local and national contemporary artists, a Workshop Tent for hands-on activities, and a Reading and Talking Tent with writers and performers sharing their work.
