A Big Field Hockey Win For Fredericksburg Native, Taylor Herold

Herold's win puts her in the first All-Conference field hockey team for the Big Ten

A Fredericksburg native brought home a big field hockey win Wednesday, Nov. 5. Taylor Herold, a senior at Penn State, earned first team All-Big Ten recognition, according to Penn State Athletics.

Herold is the daughter of Dave and Tammye Herold of Fredericksburg.

This is Herold’s second All-Big Ten recognition. She earned second team honors in 2013. Herold leads her Penn State team, the Nittany Lions, offensively with 17 goals and 41 points. She is seventh in the nation and second in the Big Ten with 0.94 goals per game.

The Nittany Lions take on No. 19 Michigan State at the Big Ten Tournament today, Nov. 6, at 12:30 p.m. in Ann Arbor, Mich.
