FREDERICKSBURG, VA — An investigation by the Special Investigations Unit of the Stafford County Sheriff's Office led to the arrest on Tuesday of two people wanted for distributing fentanyl in the Warrenton Road area, according to authorities.

Around 7:10 p.m., detectives spotted a vehicle traveling in the Warrenton Road area. They had earlier linked the vehicle to the two subjects of their drug distribution investigation, 34-year-old Justin Cauley of Clinton Maryland, and 37-year-old Jessica Bigler of Stafford, according to the sheriff's office.

With the help of Sgt. B.U. Demirci and Deputy I.E. Baldi, a traffic stop was conducted in the area of Banks Ford Parkway and detectives identified Bigler as the passenger and Cauley as the driver.

During a search of Bigler, deputies found a pouch located on her person that contained blue pills with an "M30" symbol on them, which indicated that they were fentanyl. Searching the vehicle, the detectives located additional suspected controlled substances and indications of drug distribution.

Detectives charged Bigler and Cauley with two counts each of possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, selling controlled substances for profit, and the distribution of fentanyl under the Terrorism Act, according to a sheriff's report.
