Herndon Robotics Wins Overall Champ Inspire Award

The Herndon Robotics FTC Team 519 bagged the overall champ Inspire Award at the FIRST Eastern VA FTC Qualifier on Saturday, January 24, 2015.

The competition was held at Norfolk State University participated in by 48 robotics teams. The award was given to the team with the best overall score in documentation, presentation, spirit, outreach programs and robot design and performance.

Herndon competed against 48 schools and achieved the highest award! The team is officially moving on to the State finals on February 28, 2014, in Richmond. Their staff sponsor is Physics teacher Shella Condino. This is a collaborative effort with parents and community members as well.
