Elf On The Shelf at Manassas Area Libraries This Month

Local kids are encouraged to find Santa's little helper and post a picture to Facebook or Twitter.

At the beginning of every holiday season Santa sends out his scout elves to keep an eye on children of the world so he knows who’s been naughty and who’s been nice.

For the past few years, the elves have been showing up in unique and often comical situations each morning to the amusement of both parents and children. Now, the elves are visiting library branches in Prince William County.

The elves will hide in different spots throughout the month and library staffs ask kids to help them keep track of Santa’s little helpers. Kids who find the elves can take a picture and post it to Facebook or Twitter with the library name and #LibraryElfie.

Elves started hiding at county libraries today, Dec. 1, and will stay there to watch over county children until they fly back to Santa on Christmas Eve.
