Boxwood's Grand Opening Celebration

Boxwood is excited to announce its grand opening at 1205 King Street! After 5 years on South Royal Street, owner Joanna Szczerban, decided to relocate her popular home decor and gift shop to the Upper King shopping district of Old Town. Please join the Boxwood team on Saturday, June 29, with a celebration and official ribbon-cutting ceremony at their new location.
TIME: 11am to 5pm
LOCATION: Boxwood’s new space at 1205 King Street, Alexandria, VA. 22314
Celebration Includes:
- Ribbon Cutting: On the front steps of Boxwood at 12 Noon - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with City of Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson
- Under the Boxwood Tents:
- Face painting from 11:30am to 1:30pm and 2pm to 4pm
- Annie Sloan Chalk Paint demonstrations from 11am to 4:30pm
- Craft Workstation: “Paint Your Own Picture Frame” from 11am to 5pm
- Patriotic product displays from 11am to 5pm
- Vases, hand blown from Italy, with complementary fresh flower bouquets
- Social Media “Boxwood Photo Booth” from 11am to 5pm
