Person Found Dead In River Near Four Mile Park In Alexandria: Police

Alexandria Police are investigating a death after receiving a report of a body in the river.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police are investigating the discovery of a dead person in the river near Four Mile Run Wednesday.

Officers were called around 1:27 p.m. Wednesday to the 4100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue, where a person was found in the water. The adult man was pronounced dead at the scene. Keban Isaias Perez, 32, of Alexandria.

Police have not said if the death was classified as suspicious. A medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
