Co-written with Betches Media cofounder Sami Sage, Democracy in Retrograde offers readers a practical guide to civic engagement, incorporating interactive exercises and quizzes along with stories of ordinary people who have made an impact. It argues that political action involves not only voting, but also self-reflection and community participation. And taking action is the most powerful antidote to despair.
