Three-Time Olympian to Teach Swim Clinic

On Saturday, Jan. 24 and Sunday, 25, athletes of all ages will have the opportunity to learn from and swim with three-time Olympian Klete Keller at Oak Marr RECenter in Oakton.

Keller will teach four clinics (two each day) and will provide participants with personal attention in and out of the water on strokes and techniques. The cost per Klete Keller Olympic Swim Clinic is $50 per person. Clinic spaces are expected to fill quickly.

Klete will answer questions about his swimming career and life outside the pool as he provides valuable, personal experiences of balancing swimming with school, persevering through disappointment, maintaining perspective in sports, and much more. He will pose for photos, sign autographs, and may even bring one of his five medals.

Klete Keller competed in the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Olympics for Team USA’s swim team. During his career he won five medals, including two gold, one silver, and two bronze. Most notably, Klete swam the anchor leg of Team USA’s 4 x 200 freestyle relay in 2004, a race that handed the Australians their first loss in that event. Other members of that historic relay team included Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, and Peter Vanderkaay.
