18-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Wauwatosa Plane Crash
The 18-year-old was injured in a plane crash shortly after taking off from Timmerman Airport, officials said.
WAUWATOSA, WI — An 18-year-old man was injured after his plane crashed in a northern Wauwatosa neighborhood on Thursday, officials said.
The man was hospitalized after his plane crashed at the 4600 block of N. 103rd Street around 2:57 p.m. on Thursday, the Wauwatosa Police Department said in a statement. The 18-year-old was the only person injured in the crash, which happened shortly after he took off from Timmerman Airport.
Officers found a crumpled two-seat Cessna 152 with a single pilot inside, police said. Police took the pilot out and took him to a nearby hospital.

There wasn't a lot of damage to the house and the man was a student pilot, police said. A neighbor helped the pilot before first responders arrived.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate a single engine Cessna 152 crashing near Milwaukee on Thursday, the board tweeted.

Police officers and emergency crews took photos of the crash after the pilot was taken to a local hospital, a TMJ4 stream showed.
N. 103rd Street between W. Glendale Avenue and W. Hampton Avenue was closed for a few hours for investigation, police said.
