Patrick Rogers has over two decades of experience working in journalism. He joined the PEOPLE team in 2021 and currently serves as Senior Editor, Crime, overseeing coverage of true crime and criminal justice for PEOPLE magazine and People.com. In addition to overseeing the crime coverage for the brand, he is a producer of People Magazine Investigates on Investigation Discovery. He was previously the Human Interest senior editor.

Before joining PEOPLE, Patrick Rogers worked as a reporter, writer and editor for a number of publications. He worked on staff at Newsweek, covering politics and breaking news, Allure, covering health sciences, and Elle Decor, where he edited the front-of-the-book pages devoted to design, the arts and pop culture. His work has also appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post and Irish Times.


Education

Patrick Rogers graduated with a B.A. in Russian and East European Studies from Yale University and has a B.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
