The Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week was the place to be.

Though A-listers have been flocking to shows across the French capital over the past few days, Chanel’s Fall-Winter Womenswear 2024/2025 Ready-to-Wear show on Tuesday was something of a blockbuster.

Brad Pitt and Penélope Cruz kicked off the show as they starred together in a black-and-white short film that paid homage to the French beachside resort of Deauville, which the entire show was centered around.

In the film, Pitt, 60, and Cruz, 49, reenacted scenes from a classic, Oscar-winning French film, 1966’s A Man and a Woman. The film’s director, Claude Lelouch, was also in attendance at the Chanel show and arrived with Cruz, who became a brand ambassador for the fashion house in 2018. Pitt was not in attendance at the womenswear show, but the actor has a storied history with the brand as the first male spokesperson for its iconic scent Chanel No. 5.

Deauville is where Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel opened the French luxury brand’s first-ever store more than a century ago, and creative director Virginie Viard structured the whole show as an “homage to Deauville, a place which inspired Gabrielle Chanel the invention of an allure," according to the Chanel website.

Towards the end of the show, Gigi Hadid made a grand entrance — her first Fashion Week runway appearance since she closed Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2024 show at Paris Fashion Week in October.

Hadid, 28, wore a long black dress that was see-through below the waist with a pair of platform suede boots and a dramatic collection of bold gold jewelry, including two textured cuff bracelets and a layered gold necklace featuring several medallions. A thin black belt with a gold clasp sat at her waist, and she held a black Chanel bag in her hand as she walked. Hadid’s hair was styled with a black bow and a white flower detail and tied behind her head, hanging low on her back.

She reshared several videos of her runway appearance on her Instagram Story after the show, writing over one video shared by Harper's Bazaar France, “Bonjour @chanelofficial,” and adding a “🩶” over another repost.

The Fall-Winter 2024/2025 Ready-to-Wear show consisted of “long, romantic silhouettes imagined by Virginie Viard take their vibrant or pastel shades from the ever-changing colors of the Deauville sky, along with brown and gold lamé,” according to the luxury fashion house’s website.

“A nod to the relationship between the Planches of Deauville, the 7th art and CHANEL, cinematic references punctuate the collection’s prints.”

Aside from the star power shown on the screen and on the runway during the Chanel show, there were also several famous faces in attendance watching it all happen, including Zoey Deutch, Vanessa Paradis, Zazie Beetz, Margaret Qualley and Riley Keough.

The show also marked Deutch’s public debut of her dramatic new ‘do. She unveiled a blonde pixie cut — which she helped cut herself! — in preparation for her latest role as ‘60s actress Jean Seberg in Richard Linklater’s upcoming film on Instagram on Monday.

The transformation process took over 16 hours for stylist Bridget Brager and celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham to achieve.

“We wanted to find the perfect shade for Zoey’s upcoming role,” Cunningham shared in a statement with PEOPLE. “Our work was cut out for us, as most of the photos we could find of Jean were in black and white — but we settled on a soft, golden blonde color that really captures Jean’s essence.”

In Deutch’s post, she wrote, “surprise surpriseee ✂️,” as she unveiled the bold change.
