Bryan Abasolo is not holding his tongue as his divorce from Rachel Lindsay continues to play out in court.

The 44-year-old chiropractor reflected on his ongoing separation from Lindsay, who he met on The Bachelorette in 2017, on his Instagram Stories as he gave a shout-out to the divorce coach he's been working with.

Abasolo said he was "emotionally and psychologically beaten down" when he met Rene Garcia.

"I needed an objective opinion and guidance to make a huge decision," he wrote in the July 18 post. "I credit @renesance_man who I now call a friend for helping me face the PR tricks and gaslighting I was warned was coming. I'm thankful. If thinking of separating, find a divorce coach so you don't make a decision by reaction, but through clarity."

Abasolo filed for divorce from Lindsay, 39, after four years of marriage on January 2, citing irreconcilable differences. In a since-deleted statement on Instagram, he shared that they had "made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew."

Their separation remains ongoing in court as Abasolo's request for monthly spousal support was rebuffed by Lindsay, and the pair then began exchanging allegations of the state of their marriage.

In May, he requested emergency spousal support and at least $75,000 in legal fees from his ex, who then claimed he was "not in need" of the funds, which she said "far exceed the actual marital lifestyle and his need" in documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Lindsay said that the $16,000 annual income Abasolo claimed in his filing is "less than he would [earn] if he worked at McDonalds," and said his "ability and opportunity to generate income...enable[s] him to support himself."

He then reaffirmed the request for $16,000 of monthly spousal support, and in a July 10 court appearance, he was granted his wishes as the judge ordered Lindsay to pay him "temporary spousal support in the sum of $13,257 per month" starting on July 15, with no specified end date. She was also ordered to pay $20,000 in his legal fees.

While the couple went back and forth over spousal support, they also exchanged varying claims about the nature of their relationship, as Lindsay claimed she was informed that Abasolo had filed for divorce via text, which he then denied. She also said that their "marital standard of living was nowhere near as glamorous as [he] portrays it to be."

Abasolo provided more text messages and said she was not "surprised or shocked" by his filing, despite claiming she was, and said Lindsay "never showed any interest in [his] business" and that her "jet-setting career often took her away from our martial residence while I stayed home."

He further alleged that she wanted him "out of the way" and "not involved in 'Hollywood,'" and would go so far as to "disinvite [him] to parties or events and then go with her industry friends instead."
