Michael Phelps is 'honored!' after learning that Caitlin Clark has given a picture of him a prominent spot in her life — on her phone's lock screen!

Clark, 22, showed off her phone's lock screen for a video with her Iowa Hawkeye teammates that was posted on the NCAA March Madness Women's Basketball X (formerly Twitter) account on April 3. Each of them were asked to share the photo they picked for that coveted spot, and to some surprise, Clark went with Phelps.

"This is Michael Phelps swimming...in the Olympics. It's pretty tough," Clark said in the video.

The man himself happened to see the video, and Phelps expressed his appreciation.

"Honored!!! This is so cool!" the 23-time Olympic gold medalist, 38, wrote on X. He added an emoji with sunglasses and tagged Clark's social media account.

Clark became the highest all-time basketball scorer in NCAA Division I basketball among men or women during her team's final regular season game on March 3.

Clark surpassed the late Louisiana State University (LSU) basketball player “Pistol” Pete Maravich when she earned her place in college basketball history in March as she wrapped up her regular season career as a college basketball player. Her collegiate scoring record finished out at 3,685.

Though Clark could have extended her record and returned for another season of college basketball, she announced in February that she would forgo her final year of eligibility and declare for the 2024 WNBA draft instead.

Right now though, she and the Hawkeyes are hoping to win a national championship — tomorrow, they'll face UConn in the Final Four round of the NCAA March Madness tournament.
