Lifestyle Health Celebrity Health Bret Michaels: I Was Ready to Go Out Rockin' That's why he wore his signature bandana – even while lying on a hospital bed after a head hemorrhage By Zach Haberman Published on May 17, 2010 07:00PM EDT Photo: Gus Ruelas/AP The moment it happened, Bret Michaels knew something “was severely wrong.” “It just exploded instantly – ran from my temple down to the back of my skull,” the Poison singer/reality star tells Oprah Winfrey of the subarachnoid hemorrhage he suffered last month. But the 47-year-old Michaels says in the interview airing Wednesday that despite the scare, he was still going to wear his signature bandana, even as he lay in the hospital bed. “I said, ‘If I’m going out, I want to go out rockin’,'” he recalls. Now recovering, Michaels plans to return to the stage in Biloxi, Miss., on May 28. He also hopes to appear on the May 23 live season final of Celebrity Apprentice, where he is still vying for the title and a $250,000 prize for his charity.
